Follow the 80/20 rule - find enjoyable, flexible eating strategies - not another short term diet
We need to eat real, unprocessed foods at least 80% of the time.
But overly strict diets are unsustainable - you also need some room to move.
Prioritise quality sleep OVER exercise for better results - it enables muscle building and burns off excess body fat
Sleep is where all the magic happens. It’s the ultimate weight loss supplement.
In today’s world, it’s easy to get poor quality sleep. We need to fix that to get the benefits that are on offer.
Find an efficient, fun and balanced approach to exercise (focusing on calories burned is ineffective)
Exercising in order to burn calories is the wrong focus - it won’t get you the body you want.
It’s also unsustainable - you end up tired, stressed, injury-prone, and dreading your next training session.
Spend more time in nature to de-stress your mind and body (again, reduces excess body fat, builds lean mass)
Time in nature will help you de-stress, recover faster, and also help to view things in a healthier perspective.
Avoid poisonous things in the air, water, food and personal care products you use (not as easy as it seems)
From the air we breathe, to the water we drink, to the foods we eat, to the personal care and household products we are exposed to, this is much harder than it may seem.
